Fees

Our aim is to ensure that no one is ever priced-out of at least basic intellectual property advice and we are always happy to give free initial advice by telephone. Perceived cost should never be a barrier to seeking specialist legal services. Where possible we agree capped fees with our clients in advance. If the work takes longer than we thought, you only pay up to the cap. If it takes less time, then you only pay for the time spent. For all other work we charge £175 plus VAT per hour for partner time plus disbursements. We can generally give you a good estimate of likely costs. If we can't tell how long a piece of work will take (e.g. if we are negotiating with an opponent) then we can agree not to go over a certain amount of time before reverting to you. We understand the importance of giving our clients control over their legal spend.
